ADVENT TIME. How do we prepare for Christmas?

P. Tarcisio

Today we conclude the Liturgical Year, the Year of the Church, with the solemn celebration of Christ, our Shepherd and King; who came to us as our Good Shepherd and entrusted us with the responsibility of caring for one another. He is a special king, who has not come to be served but to serve, who has not come to have others give their lives for him, but he has given his life for everyone. His kingdom is a kingdom of peace, mercy and love.

We are about to begin the Advent Season, which is the time of preparation to celebrate Christmas, the birth of Christ, King of the universe. God comes, he wants to enter in our human history, Jesus is born as a poor and defenseless child, who asks us to prepare a place for him in our lives, to receive his message of love, peace, and hope. It is time to remove what hinders our lives to meet Him. It is time to live this Christmas with a true Christian spirit.
