Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; to God who is, who was, and who is to come.
On this feast of the Church, we celebrate God. We celebrate the mystery of one God who is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Three persons, but God is one! The Father is God, the Son is God, the Spirit is God. But they are not three gods: he is one God in three Persons. It is a mystery that Jesus Christ has revealed to us: the Holy Trinity.
Jesus made us know the face of God as the merciful Father; He presented Himself, as true man, as Son of God and Word of the Father, Savior who gives his life for us and taught us to receive the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
Today's feast, then, makes us contemplate this wonderful mystery of love and light from which we come and towards our earthly path is directed.
