On Children's Day we commemorate all the actions carried out in favor of protecting and promoting the rights of all children, enshrined, and recognized in the Magna Carta of the United Nations (UN). Such rights as: the right to live, to health, to prosper, to education, to learn, to grow, to be heard, to be protected and to be promoted to reach their maximum potential as people... that is: The right to be happy.
This day is also the opportunity to pay tribute to them and become aware that they constitute the future of society.
Since 1954 this day has had an international character.
We, as a Christian and Catholic community, recognize that their care and education must be inspired by the principles and values of the Gospel... highlighting the exemplary love that Christ showed towards them and set them as an example to live as citizens of the Kingdom of God.
Let us pray and work so that they can grow fully, both physically and physically, as well as intellectually and spiritually, in each of their families, in schools and in society in general.
