Dear Saint Matthew’s family:
We begin the new year by entrusting it to Mary Mother of God.
Let us remember that at Christmas the shepherds found Mary and Joseph, and the child lying in the manger. And now, it is the same Child God who accompanies us in this new year that begins.
In all your projects, plans, desires, and goals that you must live in 2024: God is close, within your reach. Thus, the new year begins with God who, in the arms of his Mother, encourages us with tenderness. We need his presence and his blessing in everything we must do.
At the beginning of the year, World Peace Day is celebrated. Jesus invites us to be bearers of peace. We can only truly build peace if we have it in our hearts. May the Mother of God, Queen of Peace, obtain harmony for our hearts and the entire world at the beginning of this year.
