On September 21st, the Church celebrates the Feast of Saint Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist; and Saint Matthew is the Patron Saint of our Community. That is why we are preparing to celebrate together on Sunday the 22nd, which is the day we meet.
Today our community is going through a period of restructuring, times of change to improve, adapting to the challenges that are presented to us. It is normal that we may feel fear and uncertainty; but like Matthew, we fully trust in Jesus, and we continue to respond to his call to serve him in our brothers and sisters through all the activities and services we carry out in this cathedral.
Our community will continue to respond to its call of social and spiritual service to society, from its identity as a Catholic, Independent and Ecumenical Church. Let us celebrate our Patron Saint together. This is the work of God and he calls us to trust in Him, carrying out the mission of Knowing, Loving and Serving Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Saint Matthew Apostle, pray for us
