In the passage from the Acts of the Apostles (First Reading), the event of the day of Pentecost is described in detail, that day in which the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles, gathered with Mary, so that they could fulfill the mission that was given to them. it had been entrusted, as St. John tells us (Gospel). Saint Paul (Second Reading) also refers to the coming of the Holy Spirit as the principle of the unity of the Church in the diversity of her ministries.
The risen Jesus grants the Spirit so that the apostles can live the evangelizing mission with the same radicality that He lived it in obedience to his Father, witnessing the Easter joy and universal reconciliation. With the need to live and be grateful for the gift of diversity that makes unity fruitful and meaningful.
