In the Book of Wisdom, the sacred writer has asked God to grant him the wisdom of life and prudence; and happily, verifies that he has granted it to him. Also Psalm 89 makes us sing these petitions:
"Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain wisdom of heart...."
" Fill us at daybreak with your kindness, that we may shout for joy and gladness all our days..."
" Let your work be seen by your servants and your glory by their children"
That wisdom is what the rich man who approached Jesus was looking for. But he did not like the answer and he preferred to continue with his life as he had led it up to that moment, although he left sad and sad because he could not give up the satisfaction that his riches gave him. What we must do to achieve eternal life is to learn to live with wisdom, which teaches us to see what life is and that may gain wisdom of heart... To live with love and joy all our days ... to admire the works of God, fulfilling his commandments.
Today the word of God challenges us seriously: Where do you put your heart? Where do you put your own security? What is it that gives value to your life and makes it worth living?
