IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT.
When we make the sign of the cross, we name God. It is particularly good to invoke God to bless us or to bless our family. The moment we say the name of God we are in contact with our Creator.
From a young age we must learn to cross ourselves. We can start and end each day of our life with the sign of the cross. Babies can receive your blessing if you make the sign of the cross over them as they hear God's name with your own voice. That moment of love will be recorded on their hearts.
May we, from today, and every day, place our thoughts, our actions and our whole being in the hands of God under the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
