THE HOLY FAMILY

The Christmas and New Year holidays are characterized by family gatherings. And celebrating this feast of the Holy Family also leads us to think about ourselves and that small or large group to which we belong, our family.

The biblical readings tell us that Jesus was born to a woman named Mary, and his adoptive father was Joseph. God wanted him to be born into a family that would care for him, protect him, help him, and accept him as he was.

And Jesus; parents worked hard so that he would lack nothing, as most parents do for their children. Jesus; family also faced many problems, but they also shared many joys. Our savior was born and raised there. Let us give thanks for our family and renew our commitment to do everything possible to grow in love, patience, faith, and mutual help.
