SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT

God covenants with Abraham, our Father in faith, becoming heir of his promise and blessing... beyond Abraham's expectations, that blessing transcends to us who, through Jesus Christ, are called to be citizens of heaven by transfiguring ourselves into his image, through listening to and fidelity to his Word. He is molding us, St. Paul reminds us, to transform our misery into glory in the likeness of himself.

The glory of Jesus, experienced by the disciples on Mount Tabor, encourages them to follow the path of the Resurrection, but not before also walking the path of crucifixion.

May we live this Lent without losing sight of our ultimate goal: to be glorified in Christ by his death and resurrection.
