What does the Word of God tell us this Sunday? June 30th, 2024

The readings that the Church presents to us in the liturgy of this Sunday, the thirteenth of Ordinary Time, give us inner peace. We meet God in the person of his Son Jesus Christ who heals and heals our wounds of body and soul, lifts us up to follow him in our lives and be able to enjoy his salvation.

If death entered the world through sin, as the Book of Wisdom teaches, it was defeated by Christ who shares his eternal life with us through the sacraments of the Church. We are sent as missionaries of this Good News, of this Gospel. God zeroes man for immortality.

As sent and driven by the Holy Spirit, we share these riches of our faith that help us endure our despair and failures, as happens with the characters in today's Gospel... With a positive attitude as we have sung in Psalm 29. The Lord tells us He has taken us out of the pit and changed our mourning into dances.
