Punctuality is a human attitude that indicates respect, responsibility, commitment. In any personal and community commitment it is necessary to be punctual, including Holy Mass. We understand that, if the true value of the Holy Mass is to be the source and culmination of Christian life, it is convenient for us to arrive a few minutes early and prepare ourselves to live it more fully.
Being able to arrive ten or fifteen minutes early, with the church half empty, in silence, will allow us to calm down. We can use that time to invoke the Holy Spirit and prepare ourselves, in an attitude of prayer, and ask the Lord to help us live the Mass with intensity.
It is a good time to read the Biblical texts that are going to be proclaimed and understand them better, in the printed bulletin or the electronic bulletin, on our phone. We can also do a good examination of conscience to receive Holy Communion.
Arriving on time guarantees you choose a good seat. The Mass is best experienced in the first pews, with fewer distractions, better acoustics and good visibility.
To set a good example for our children. We will leave our mark when they see us pray, sing, take communion, dress… and also when they see us take punctuality seriously.
